Puebla, the beginning of a new season
Last week we had a congress in Puebla, a city close to Mexico D.F. All the coordinadores and staff of Campus Crusade came to this congress. It was a blast! They asked me to lead the worship during the whole week, and I played with a superband! The theme of this week was “Looking together to 2020”. The idea was forming a new vision for the coming ten years. It was great just to be with everybody, hanging out with friends, and make some new friends. I won a Camera during a raffle, one that can make panorama photos, really cool! My own camera didnt work that well anymore, so I really needed one. Check out the 360 degree photo that I took from the roof of my building!
(click on the photo to see it bigger - *unfortunately it seems that its not possible to upload the photo at full size **theres nothing wrong with my camera, the stripes are calbes, the picture is taken from under an antenna)
This week was the beginning of the new semester, we’re already started here in the city, we had our first team meeting. There are a lot of changes.. Were only with the five of us, because Liz and Luis (Luis was our teamleader) and Victor (one of the volunteers) are not in our team anymore this year. Lola is going to do a lot of graphic design, and we’re both planning on leaving the end of this semester. I was planning to stay here untill the end of this year, but there are some reasons why I will be coming back earlier. One of them is that there are a lot of changes in the ministry, which makes it harder for me to complete what I had in mind. Also my finances are not going that great, I have several (big) supporters that for reasons couldn’t continue supporting me, and from Mexico I’m limited in raising additional support. In the last 2 years, I used all of my own savings, and even that is almost trough. But the main reason that I plan to come back earlier is that if I want to study again next year (which I really want to!) I got to go on interviews, and apply for a studyplace somewhere in February/march. That’s something I unfortunately didn’t think of last year, when I made the decision to stay for another year..

he neef,
